Carla Flagg, NOMAC, AIA, NCARB is a licensed architect in the State of California and a distinguished member of the National Organization of Minority Architects. With over 33 years of membership and volunteer service, Carla is proud to have been a past National Board member, serving as Secretary. Within each term, Carla was able to guide, manage and organize such efforts as working with past NOMA President James Washington, to support the Louisiana Chapter in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and working with past NOMA President R. Steven Lewis to connect with the RedCross and CHF International Fund to provide shelter for Haiti after the devastating earthquake. Locally, Carla has dedicated time to the Southern California Chapter as past secretary, provided management skills to the organization of the 2016 National Conference held in Los Angeles and is the current Socal NOMA treasurer. Recently, Carla received the high honor of becoming a NOMA Council (NOMAC) member.
SoCal NOMA seeks to advance and support the education and careers of those who have been historically underrepresented in the field of architecture. Members include architects, designers, civil engineers, structural engineers, interior designers, urban planners and product manufacturers.
